Pernera is a location that attract couples and families looking for quieter Cyprus holidays, surrounded by sandy beaches. Larnaca airport is just 45 minutes away from Pernera and just 2 kilometers from the centre of Protaras. Excellent location for families, right in an area of lovely sandy beaches that stretch around the bay.The Beaches are very safe and inviting, and not crowded as  Pernera is situated in a quieter part of Protaras. Watersports are in abundance , and well regulated for safety. The sea is crystal clear, and all the beaches have sun loungers and parosols available for a small fee.

The Knights bar is very popular for its menu, and entertainment in the evenings. Also  Sizzlers.  steaks and chicken dishes.  Professional Freindly service too. Can't say enough good things about this place. Example meal: Fillet steak with chips + Chicken sizzler (wife loved this special) and salad, large bottle of water + 2 deserts was £29 (so around £35 engish). Not cheap but not too expensive and definitely worth it!

2. il Cavaliere Italian restaurant. Lovely meals, great friendly service and the best deserts in the world  meal for two with deserts and drinks, around £15 (good if your on a budget). pizzas were also excellent.

Children on holiday in Pernera will enjoy the local water park and the much larger Water World at Ayia Naya.

Amenities in Pernera include banks, bakeries, souvenir shops, restaurants and tavernas, bus and taxi stops, steak houses and a new indian restaurant, Finese hairdressers. There is a lovely restaurant on the beach called Kamares where they also have bouzouki nights.
